One of the most recognizable tractors ever built. Exceptional durability, dead-simple mechanics, and spare parts available everywhere on Earth. Outstanding for small to medium farms, especially in South Asia and Africa.

Best investment for my 47HP needs
I've been using the Massey Ferguson 240 for over 2 years on my farm and it has never let me down. The fuel consumption is reasonable and the hydraulics are strong enough for all my implements. Highly recommend for medium-scale farming.
✓ Pros
- Easy to maintain
- Strong hydraulics
- Good resale value
✕ Cons
- Cab noise at high RPM
- Parts can take time to arrive
Reliable performer for wheat season
Purchased the 240 two seasons ago. The 3.86L engine gives good torque at lower RPMs which saves fuel. The dealer service is excellent in our area. Would recommend to any farmer looking for a dependable 47HP tractor.
✓ Pros
- Fuel efficient
- Good torque
- Dealer support
✕ Cons
- Steering can be heavy when loaded
- Could use more rear remotes
